There is a wide field of fire across canyons making this an ideal format for testing your wind skills. We have multiple permanent and portable obstacles throughout our COF. Shooters must carry all their gear, including water and snacks.

Registration is generally around 7:30 and the match ends around 3 pm depending on the turnout. They are 1-day events, fun and friendly. You do not need to be a PRS member to shoot these matches. If you wish to accumulate PRS points, then you must join the Precision Rifle Series

About the Precision Rifle Series:

The PRS Regional Series is formed by precision rifle competitors and match directors to organize, structure, and support the national precision rifle club level community. The Regional Series is home to over 361 one day matches across the nation.  The series has matured and exploded remarkably in the last few years. That is mainly due to the outstanding Regional Directors and Match Directors working in their regions to promote the sport. The national-level series is well established, for many shooters the time, travel, and costs can discourage active participation in large two-day style matches. The PRS Regional Series addresses these concerns that exclude many shooters who want to routinely join us on the firing line.  The membership is comprised of shooters from juniors to sponsored professionals, as well as match directors and volunteers.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE FOR PRS RANKING

  • Shooters purchase a PRS Regional Series membership.

  • Shooters may then compete in any 1-day PRS Regional Series match for PRS points.

  • Shooter profiles, scoring and standings will be automatically updated on this site.

*HOW TO QUALIFY FOR YOUR REGIONAL SERIES FINALE

Shooters that want to qualify for the regional finale must include 1 of their top 3 scores from a *PRS Regional Finale Qualifier match.

Regional Directors in conjunction with their MDs will identify a select number of matches throughout the year to be sanctioned as PRS Regional Finale Qualifier matches. They will be spread across the region with objective consideration to locations and frequency.  Shooters may shoot as many of these matches as they like to improve their score.  There will be no changes to how many or where the other 2 scores come from.  The qualifier rule will apply to the following divisions: Open, Tactical, Production, Gas,  Lady, Junior, Mil/Le, and Senior.

This requires the top shooters to retain at least one match score from a more equal field promoting competitive excellence that the PRS outlines in its mission statement and goals.  Shooters who choose not to participate in PRS Regional Qualifier can still compete for year-end standings but will not be invited to the Finale.  The Regional Finale will be weighted 60/40. (200 points - 40% of the overall score)

The Match:

Consists of 7-9 stations, shot in alongside the monthly PRS matches, but with a reduced round count to better simulate hunting and to keep your barrels from burning out. They are also perfect for the first time match shooter who wants to get their feet wet without pressure in a fun and supportive environment.  Coaching is allowed and encouraged.  Much like hunting, the COF will vary but is usually 1 round on target hit or miss move on. The scores in this division tabulated separately from the PRS division.
